About the Effects Section
Effects, for the purposes of this text, will
refer to ..."anything that is 'native' to RML Labs...", and
which would subseqeuently, be
employed "within" the two main RML Labs applications namely,
SAC and SAW. The only exceptions to this employment would be
MidiWorkShop and VideoTrackViewer as these two items are specific to SAW
only.
As had been mentioned previously, there are seven RML Labs
effects products in total that incorporate the use of "shades" namely,
the Echo/Delay, the Eq, the Frequency Analyzer, the Levelizer,
MidiWorkShop, the Reverb, and the VideoTrackViewer.
Of these
seven, two are identical with the exception of the "numerical
designation" noted on the main page...this being the Studio Frequency
Analyzer.
• It would assumed that this "exception" was
entirely due to the potential simultaneous use of this effect.
Potential Effects Shades Issues
There are a
number of potential "issues" in this usage however...
1. Most
shade developers did not provide effects shades
2. Those that did,
focused - it would "appear", entirely on the two of the effects
namely, the Echo and the Eq.
• Not many developers therefore, provided shades
for the remaining five effects.
Commercial Effects
A number of the effects are "commerical"
offerings, such as the Studio Frequency Analyzer, the
Studio Levelizer, Studio MidiWorkShop and Reverberator 32. As a result,
the shades for these commercial effects are provided as "images" only.
• For further infomarin please see the section entitled: About
the Updating of Shades
SAC versus SAW
One of the potential benefits of
the effects shades - with the notable exception of the MidiWorkShop and
the VideoTrackViewer, is that the other effects are identical for use within
SAC or SAW. Therefore, any updates to one of the remaining five effects
would be applicable to both applications. "Alright!"
32-bit versus 64-bit
As with the 32-bit versions
of the two main applications, 64-bit versions of the effects will also
be provided - if they had not yet already been provided by the
developers.
